Google joined the truly wireless earbuds field with the release of the Google Pixel Buds in 2020, and in mid-2021, the firm followed it up with the release of the Google Pixel Buds A-Series, which was also released in India.

Now, it appears like Google is working on a "Pro" version of the Google Pixel Buds, which might compete with the likes of Apple AirPods Pro, Sony WF-1000XM4, and others. The popularity of true wireless earbuds has grown dramatically in recent years, and Google clearly wants to establish itself in the major league with the Google Pixel Buds Pro in the luxury market.

Google Pixel Buds Pro Could Have Spatial Audio and Head Tracking

According to Jon Prosser, a tipster, Google is currently preparing to unveil the Google Pixel Buds Pro. According to him, the Buds Pro will be available shortly, and he has also hinted at the colour options for the audio device. The Pixel Buds Pro is supposed to be available in four colours: Real Red, Carbon, Limoncello, and Fog.

While we haven't heard much about this specific device in the past, some code in Android 13 hints at a few capabilities such as spatial audio and head tracking support in Android 13. In another tweet,

Mishaal Rahman claims that Google is already working on spatial audio as well as head tracking compatibility for Android 13 and that Google has kept head tracking a secret. Furthermore, Bluetooth Low Energy audio compatibility is already available in Android, and the rumoured Google Pixel Buds Pro take advantage of all of these characteristics.

It's worth noting that, for the time being, because the facts around the Buds Pro are few, we're merely connecting the dots here, and it's not assured that all of these capabilities will appear on a Google device. However, based on the name, the Pixel Buds Pro will most likely include active noise cancellation as well as spatial audio capabilities. More information on the subject may become available in the coming days.
