GTA 6: A New Leak Suggests a 2024 Release Date, with Siblings as Protagonists
The release of GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated in the gaming world, and new rumours about its details continue to circulate.

GTA 6 has sparked near-unprecedented excitement, and it's not for nothing. The Grand Theft Auto series has been one of the most eagerly anticipated video game franchises of all time, with each instalment delivering some of the best open world gameplay experiences ever. Now, while Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 6 is in the works, the studio has remained tight-lipped about what the game will entail. Surprisingly, we now appear to have some information about what might be in the game – and when we might see it.
GTA 6: Release Date and Characters
The first piece of information comes in the form of a post from an alleged Rockstar Games insider about the game's upcoming release date. According to this information, the game was originally planned for a Holiday 2023 season release, so it was expected to arrive at the end of next year. However, it appears that the development schedule is already behind schedule, implying that it will not be released until at least early 2024.

Of course, there is no concrete evidence to back this up – at least not from the developers themselves. As a result, there's a good chance that this is mostly speculation – though such delays aren't unheard of in the game development industry.
Other posts on Twitter by those with apparent insider information on the game have suggested that GTA 6 could include siblings in the overall story's narration. The latter will reportedly revolve around a brother and sister who were estranged in 2003 (as shown in a prologue) after their parents were murdered. This could add a new dimension to how the game is played, something that sounds very GTA-like.

Other details include hints that the game may include gameplay spanning multiple decades. There could also be destructive environments to make the environment more engaging rather than just being modelled, as well as changes to the game's city map depending on the protagonist's gender.
Details on the game are still scarce, which may explain why some of the early rumours about the game are being taken seriously. In the future, it will be interesting to see when the much-anticipated game is finally released!
