HP Launches OMEN 16, OMEN 17, Victus 15 and Victus 16 Laptops in India with AMD Ryzen 6000 Series Processors
The HP Omen 16 is powered by 12th generation Intel and AMD Ryzen 6000 processors, as well as Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti graphics.
HP India has announced the release of its 2022 gaming laptop lineup, which includes both the OMEN and Victus lines. The new laptops feature up to 12th generation Intel and AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, as well as Nvidia RTX 3080Ti and AMD RX 6650M GPUs. The new lineups include updated internals as well as incremental upgrades such as improved heat management systems - all while maintaining the overall design language of the laptops.
HP OMEN Laptop Lineup: What it Offers
The HP OMEN 16 and OMEN 17 laptops use 12th generation Intel and AMD Ryzen 6000 series processors, but HP does not specify which processor SKUs are used. However, the company has confirmed that both the OMEN 16 and 17 will be equipped with up to Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti GPUs or AMD's Ryzen RX 6650M GPUs. RAM and storage capacities are increased to 32GB DDR5 memory and 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSDs.
The OMEN 16 has a 16.1-inch display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, quad HD screen resolution, and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The OMEN 17 has the same screen resolution and refresh rate as the OMEN 15, but it is 17.3 inches in size. Both laptops have an additional heat pipe and outflow vent, which contribute to lower operating temperatures for the GPU and SSD inside. This would allow the laptops to run at peak performance for longer periods of time due to improved heat management.
HP Victus 15 and 16: What They Offer
The Victus 15 is powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors from the 12th generation, as well as Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPUs. The memory and storage sizes are not specified by HP, but the laptop will have a 15.6-inch full HD display with a noise reduction algorithm for better clarity in dark areas of the display during gameplay.
Meanwhile, the Victus 16 is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H CPU and an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU, as well as up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The laptop also has a 16.1-inch display with full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. A new heat management design is also included for improved cooling performance.
OMEN Desktop Lineup
The new HP OMEN desktop lineup includes the OMEN 45L, 40L, and 25L models, which are powered by 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700F processors and the Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU with 10GB GDDR6 GPU in the top variant. It also has up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and 1TB of SSD storage.
The desktops include a 'Cryo' cooling chamber for ambient air-based cooling technology, and the gaming desktop includes a glass CPU case design, tool-free access, and full RGB control on the desktop. Power supplies of up to 800W are also available for the desktops.
HP Victus 15L Desktop
Finally, the Victus 15L is powered by a 12th generation Intel Core i7-12700F or AMD Ryzen 7 5700G octa-core CPU, as well as an Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti GPU. HP claims that the desktop lineup will provide "extensive" customisation options as well as the ability to upgrade the internals in the future. A customizable RGB logo is also available for the desktop CPU case.
The HP OMEN 16 laptops start at Rs 1,09,999 and are immediately available. Meanwhile, the OMEN 17 will be available in August for Rs 1,99,999. The Victus 15, the most affordable model, will go on sale next month for Rs 67,999. Meanwhile, the Victus 16 is available for purchase beginning today for Rs 84,999.
Finally, the HP OMEN desktops are now available starting at Rs 1,49,999, while the Victus 15L is available starting at Rs 93,999.
