Huawei MateBook E with a detachable keyboard was announced in November 2021. It appears that the company is now preparing to launch a new type of detachable laptop.

The WIPO website has revealed the existence of Huawei's detachable laptop. WIPO is an acronym for World Intellectual Property Organization, and this is a patent website. The WIPO website has provided us with some information about the device as well as some images.

According to the WIPO patent website, this will be a detachable electronic device. According to the document, the device is divided into two parts, the first being the docking structure and the second being the device's screen. Based on the images, we can conclude that this will be a laptop. Part 14 (see image below) appears to be the laptop's display, while parts 12 and 16 appear to be attachments.

According to the image, the detachable laptop may have magnetic mechanics, and it also suggests that, like some Asus laptops, the upcoming Huawei laptop may have a secondary display below the main screen. The secondary screen (part 12) will be located between the main screen (part 14) and what appears to be the keyboard area (part 16).

Furthermore, combining parts 14 and 12 results in a tablet experience, while combining parts 14 and 16 results in a single screen notebook experience. This is based on the images and documents obtained from the WIPO website, and the final product may not have a secondary display. As a result, the second display section should be taken with a grain of salt.

The document also mentions how the display and system components can be connected and disconnected. If the system part is connected to the display, it will provide a full notebook experience; however, the display can also be used independently, much like a tablet. This could indicate that the device will have a touch screen display.
