OnePlus Keyboard Launch Confirmed for February 7
Let's take a look at the OnePlus Keyboard launch timeline, leaked image, features, and everything else we know so far.
OnePlus confirmed the release of its first keyboard late last year. The first OnePlus Keyboard will be released in collaboration with keyboard manufacturer Keychain. OnePlus did not confirm an exact launch date at the time. However, the launch of the first OnePlus Keyboard has now been officially confirmed in a tweet.
The OnePlus keyboard India launch event will be held on February 7. This means that the computer peripheral will be released alongside OnePlus' flagship smartphone and the Buds Pro 2 TWS earbuds. Let's take a look at the OnePlus Keyboard launch timeline, leaked image, features, and everything else we know so far.
OnePlus Keyboard India Launch Timeline and Features
The video in the tweet also provides us with a sneak peek at the keyboard's design. A live image of the keyboard has leaked ahead of the official launch. The mechanical keyboard is white in colour, with a rotary knob in the top right corner that can be used to adjust the volume, scroll through the screen, zoom in/out, and so on.
The Enter key appears to be red, which would be a first for any OnePlus product. The Function row keys are also seen in grey and white. Below the rotary knob in the right corner of the keyboard is the Page Up/Down and Delete keys. This implies that the OnePlus Keyboard will not provide a full-size keyboard experience with a dedicated number pad. It will have a slider key for power and Bluetooth, as well as another for switching between Mac and Windows modes.

Some details about the upcoming keyboard have been confirmed by the company. It will feature a Double Gasket Design, which ensures a precisely calibrated yet softer actuation accompanied by a satisfying sound. Customization options will include hot-swappable switches and flexible, open-source firmware.
Real-time control will be possible with open-source firmware such as QMK and VIA. Users can easily customize the keyboard for RBG lights or remap keys thanks to open-source firmware support. Users running Linux can connect the keyboard to their devices as well.
According to the previous timeline, the upcoming OnePlus keyboard will be available for purchase in India by March 2023. There has been no official word from the company regarding the launch or sale date. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
