The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, along with the OnePlus 10R mid-range smartphone, will be available in India later this week. The Nord CE 2 Lite will be priced slightly lower than the standard Nord CE, and its overall design appears to be inspired by the Realme 9 Pro Plus.

The device is part of an effort by BBK Electronics, OnePlus' parent company, to broaden the range of products in the OnePlus portfolio and broaden what the brand offers. The OnePlus smartphone is said to have some interesting specifications, such as a Snapdragon 695 processor, a 90Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery, and more. OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite Expected Specifications and Features

Many details about the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone have already leaked, giving us a good idea of what to expect from the device. It will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 695 SoC, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Other important specifications include a 6.58-inch display with a drill-hole front camera notch, full HD+ screen resolution, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. All of this will be combined with Android 12 out of the box, with OxygenOS 12 customising the OnePlus Android experience in India.

Large battery

The Nord CE 2 Lite is also expected to have a large battery, with the company already confirming that the device will have a 5,000mAh battery. This will be combined with 33W fast charging. In comparison, the OnePlus 10R, which is expected to be unveiled on the same day, will reportedly come in two flavours: one with a 4,500mAh battery and 150W SuperVOOC charging, and another with a 5,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging.

64MP main camera

A triple rear camera, led by a 64MP primary camera, is also expected on the device. Exact details have yet to be revealed, but the Nord CE 2 Lite is unlikely to receive Hasselblad credentials. The 64MP main camera will be accompanied by two 2MP camera units. A 16MP camera for selfies could be placed in the front.

No alert slider

While this isn't exactly a feature, it's worth noting that the Nord CE 2 Lite is almost certainly not going to get the OnePlus alert slider. The latter has been an ever-present feature in OnePlus' phones, and, in addition to its usefulness, has become a distinguishing identifier for the brand in a world of uniform smartphone designs. It's unclear whether this is due to the BBK group cutting costs by using more uniform phone designs across its brands (which include Vivo, Oppo, Realme, and Iqoo), but fans of the brand will undoubtedly miss it. The Nord CE 2 Lite's fingerprint sensor is also expected to be integrated into the power button on the side.
