OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G Global Variant has just been listed on the FCC Certification Website, with a launch date set for soon.
The OPPO Reno8 series is expected to be launched in India on July 21st.
OPPO launched the Reno8 series in China in May, with three new phones: the OPPO Reno 8 Pro+, the Reno 8 Pro, and the standard Reno 8. The OPPO Reno8 series will be available in India as well. According to a recent report, the Reno8 Pro and Reno8 will be available in India on July 21st. However, the Reno8 Pro+ from China is expected to launch globally as the Reno8 Pro, including in India.
The OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G was first spotted on Geekbench with the Dimensity 8100 Max SoC, giving us the first hint of rebranding, ahead of its launch outside of China. The FCC website has now listed the OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G global variant. We can also expect the Reno8 series to launch globally soon, as it has been spotted on a couple of certifications.
OPPO Reno8 Pro 5G Global Variant Spotted on FCC
The FCC database shows the OPPO Reno8 Pro with the model number CPH2357. According to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, the phone has a 4,500mAh battery (2250 x 2), which is the same as the Reno8 trio. Furthermore, the device will support SUPERVOOC 80W fast charging. The phone will run ColorOS 12.1, which is expected to be based on Android 12. In terms of dimensions, the phone is said to be 161.2 x 74.2 x 7.34mm in size and weighs 183 grams.
Furthermore, the phone will support 5G and 4G LTE, as well as Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC. Surprisingly, according to the FCC document, "the hardware supports 5G NR bands n77 and n78, but it will be disabled by software and will not be available in the US market." This means that the phone may not launch in the United States, or that if it does, these two bands will be disabled.
