On November 15, the company will hold its new Snapdragon event in Hawaii, where it will unveil its new flagship mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Along with this, the chipmaker may announce additional SoCs that will be used in various smartphones in late 2022 and throughout 2023. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC is one of the upcoming SoCs that is expected to be announced soon.

Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC is expected to be announced soon. The upcoming Snapdragon chipset's specifications have leaked online. Roland Quandt, a tipster, has revealed information about the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM7475. This SoC could be either the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 or the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 SoC.

The SM7475 will be designed in a tri-cluster configuration, with one Prime core, three Gold cores, and four Silver cores. The Prime will have a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz, while the Gold cores will have a peak core frequency of 2.36GHz. The Silver cores will run at 1.8GHz. This is all similar to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.

The SM7475 SoC may employ new core designs. The Prime and Gold cores are likely to use Cortex-A715 processors, while the Silver cores may use Cortex-A510. The SoC could provide 5-10% performance improvements over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC while being slightly more efficient.
