Karauli District Collector Neelabh Sksena has announced a holiday (Karauli School Closed) because of the heavy rains in the district. It has been said in the notice issued that the students studying in all the government and non-government schools of the district are declared a holiday on August 12, 2024. Similarly, in Jaipur also, on the instructions of the District Collector, the Education Department has declared a holiday (Jaipur School Closed) in all schools from class 1 to 12th.

Palakkad and Malappuram districts have been issued an orange alert, while Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, and Wayanad have received a yellow alert. An alert has been issued in view of extremely heavy rains and flood-like conditions in Bharatpur. Based on the alert, all government and non-government schools from class 1 to 12th operating in the district have been declared closed. According to the notice issued by District Collector Amit Yadav, all schools in the district will remain closed on August 12, 2024. Please note that this holiday will apply only to students.
