The Note 12 Pro 4G is most likely a rebranded version of an older model. Let's look at the specifications, features, and other details of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G.
Is the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G Just a Rebadged Redmi Note 10 Pro?
In the coming weeks, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G as a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro in select markets. XiaomiUI discovered the device on the IMEI database, revealing that it is codenamed sweet k6a global. The codename for the Redmi Note 10 Pro global variant is sweet global. The global variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro was launched in India as the Note 10 Pro Max.
XiaomiUI claimed that sweet k6a global was previously scheduled to launch as the Redmi Note 11 Pro 2023. However, Xiaomi has now changed the name of the device to match the latest generation of the Note series. Xiaomi has previously done so with the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which was later rebranded as the Redmi Note 10 Lite. The Redmi Note 11 SE was also released earlier this year as a rebadged Redmi Note 10S from last year.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro has the model number K6a, whereas the Note 10 Pro has the model number K6. According to the report, the design of the Note 12 Pro may be improved. Other specifications will be the same as the Note 10 Pro, aka the Note 10 Pro Max India variant. The device could have a 108MP quad-camera setup on the back, with an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. A 16MP front-facing camera sensor will be available for selfies.
A Snapdragon 732G SoC will power the 4G smartphone. It will have a 5020mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The device is also expected to have a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR-10 support. Xiaomi is expected to ship the Note 12 Pro 4G with Android 12-based MIUI 13.
It will be interesting to see if the company releases the Android 13 update soon after the launch, as most other smartphones launching in December or later are expected to include the latest Android update.
