Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Restock Date Confirmed for July 2022

The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will be restocked on July 23 at 12 PM, marking the final PlayStation restock of the month. It should be noted that this restock will only include the Digital Edition console and not the standard optical disc-drive variant.

Amazon, Flipkart, GamesTheShop, ShopatSC, and other retailers will have stock available. The Digital Edition costs Rs 10,000 less than the standard variant (Rs 39,990) and lacks an optical disc drive. This means that PS5 discs will not work on the console, which will only run digital games purchased from the PlayStation Store.

This is the month's final restock, so if you want to get a new next-generation console this month, now is your chance.

With the exception of the optical disc drive, the Digital Edition console has the same hardware as the standard variant. Despite ongoing supply chain issues, the PlayStation 5 has been one of Sony's fastest-selling consoles to date. There have been rumours of a PS5 Pro variant being prepared for release in 2023-24, but Sony has yet to confirm anything. The console is set to receive a number of major releases in the near future, including Santa Monica Studio's God of War Ragnarok.
