The Dimensity 920 was announced in August and has been powering devices released in China since then. The Mi 11i will be among the first devices in India to include a 5G chip. MediaTek Dimensity 920: What’s on Offer?
The Dimensity 920 will be the mid-range SoC to watch in the first half of 2022. It is an all-around improvement over the previous Dimensity 800 series, with a 15% increase in performance and improved power efficiency due to the 6nm manufacturing process.
The Dimensity 920 also includes support for adaptive refresh-rate displays, as well as native HDR imaging with a 4K Video Capture Hardware engine. Phones based on the Dimensity 920 can have cameras with up to 108MP sensors, as well as flagship components such as UFS 3.1 storage, LPDDR5 RAM, and 120Hz displays.
