Vivo is said to be releasing a new foldable smartphone later this year. In China, the company unveiled the Vivo X Fold, its first foldable smartphone. The X Fold never made it to India. Vivo also declined to comment on the foldable phone's India launch details. The Vivo X Fold Plus, the company's next foldable phone, could be released very soon.

The X Fold Plus, Vivo's new foldable phone, will not be launched until later this year. The device is expected to be launched in China soon. There is currently no word on the availability of the foldable phone outside of the Chinese market.

Meanwhile, Digital Chat Station claimed that Vivo's foldable phone will have a quad-camera setup on the back. A 50MP main camera sensor, a 12MP portrait camera sensor with 2x zoom, a 48MP ultrawide camera, and an 8MP periscope camera will be included in the camera setup.

The foldable phone will also have a front-facing camera with a resolution of 16MP. The camera sensor setup is essentially the same as the original X Fold, which was released earlier this year.

The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, according to the tip. It will also have a slightly larger 4700 mAh battery, as well as support for 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The battery specifications are slightly improved over the original X Fold.
