Vivo X Fold+ To Launch Date on September 26
The Vivo X Fold+ has been making headlines for a few weeks now, with the upcoming foldable phone from Vivo being spotted on various databases and certification websites ahead of its release. The company has now officially confirmed the launch date of the Vivo X Fold+ in China, and the company's next-generation foldable will be available next week.
Vivo has confirmed on Weibo that the Vivo X Fold+ will be launched in China on September 26th. The event will begin at 7 p.m. local time, which is 4:30 p.m. in India. Along with the launch date, the company has launched the first official image of the device, which appears to be similar to the one that was leaked a few days ago.
Vivo X Fold+: What We Know So Far
The Vivo X Fold was released earlier this year, and the company is now preparing to launch the next-generation device in China next week. We anticipate that the new and upcoming phone will be a minor upgrade over the previously released X Fold. The X Fold+, like the other X series devices, will feature Zeiss optics.
The upcoming Vivo X Fold+ will have a 120Hz 8.03-inch foldable display and a 120Hz 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED cover display, according to previous leaks and rumors. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The phone will be available in two colors: Huaxia Red and Blue.
The device is expected to have a quad-camera setup, with a 50MP main camera, a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP portrait camera sensor, and an 8MP periscope camera. The front camera sensors in the hole-punch cutouts will be 16MP or 32MP. A large 4600 mAh battery is said to power the phone.
Vivo is rumored to launch the foldable phone with support for 80W fast charging out of the box. It is also said to support wireless charging up to 50W. It will ship with Android 12 and is expected to include Funtouch OS 12. If the device is released in the global market, Vivo will most likely ship it with Fun Touch OS 12.
