Vivo X Note Aerospace Edition includes a piece of the Moon attached to a leather strap.

Vivo grabbed a few headlines earlier this week with the launch of its Vivo X Note along with Vivo X Fold, the company’s first-ever foldable smartphone. The Chinese tech company, however, is taking its X Note a step further this time by offering the Vivo X Note Aerospace Edition. This is, as the name implies, a special edition of the ordinary X Note with an 'Aerospace' connection — a meteorite pendant. Yes, this unique edition includes a pendant with a fragment of Achondrite meteorite from the Moon. The mineral is protected by a glass box that is linked to a leather strap.

Aside from a costly pendulum with a piece of Moon within, the Vivo X Note Aerospace Edition also features different, more expensive packaging. The phone itself is sky blue, with a black camera cage on the back.

Vivo X Note Aerospace Edition Specifications

In terms of specifications, the special edition of the Vivo X Note has the same 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage as the regular version. Although the normal model costs CNY 6,499 (about Rs 77,000), Vivo is yet to reveal the Aerospace Edition's price. The phone, on the other hand, will be available as part of a flash sale on the company's webshop and JD.com from today until April 22.

At the time of its release, Vivo highlighted the X Note's 7-inch 2K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The screen is curved, with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera at the top centre. The leading mobile chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, powers the gadget, while the phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging compatibility and 50W wireless charging support.

Other Smartphones With Outer Space Minerals/Stones Attached

That being said, this isn't the first time we've seen a smartphone come with a mineral or stone that doesn't belong on Earth. Caviar, a luxury business, presented a limited edition iPhone with meteorite bits, precious metals, and stones on the rear last year. It has also released a special edition of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro that includes a fragment of a meteorite that fell to Earth from the red planet, often known as Mars.
