On April 25, Vivo will launch the X80 series with a Sony IMX866 sensor. It is currently unknown which model will be the first to feature the new sensor. The X80 series will feature a Samsung GN5 sensor, which is a 50MP 1/1.3" sensor, as previously confirmed by the company. This sensor could be included in more expensive models. The IMX866 sensor could be included in the base model.

The megapixel count of the IMX866 sensor has yet to be confirmed by Vivo. The company has confirmed, however, that the X80 series will include gimbal stabilisation. Zeiss' T* anti-reflective coating will also be used on the camera.

The X80 Pro will have four cameras, whereas the standard model will have three cameras. The Pro model's specifications were recently revealed in a report. It will have a 50MP main camera with an aperture of f/1.57. There will be a 48MP ultrawide camera and a portrait telephoto camera with a resolution of 12MP. The Pro model's camera setup will also include an 8MP periscope camera with 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.
