1. A system-generated merit list will be used to shortlist applicants for engagement.
2. The Merit list shall be generated based on the marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points to marks (as indicated in subparagraphs iii to ix below) in the Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the precision of four decimals. It is required to pass all subjects in accordance with the respective recognized board requirements.
3. Only the total marks gained in all required and elective/optional courses (other than extra subjects, if any) shall be calculated for applicants whose Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet has marks or marks and Grade/Points both. This will ensure that applicants with higher grades are chosen.
4. For applicants with merely subject grades, marks will be calculated for each subject (compulsory and elective subjects but not extra subjects) using the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner.
