POCO Global released the POCO C40 smartphone in June. The POCO C40 is the company's first smartphone to be equipped with a JLQ processor. The upcoming POCO C50 with model number 220733SPI has been spotted on the IMEI database, courtesy of Xiaomiui, and it appears that the company will soon introduce the C40's successor. This appears to be the Indian variant of the upcoming POCO C50 based on the model number.

Furthermore, Xiaomiui claims that the POCO C50 will only be available in India and will not be available in other global markets. The upcoming POCO handset's model number suggests that it is a rebranded Redmi A1. The Redmi A1 has recently been spotted on several certification websites, including the FCC, IMEI database, and BIS. POCO C40 Will Not Launch in India!

In a separate development, Himanshu Tandon, POCO India's head, has revealed that the POCO C40 will not be launched in the Indian market. Himanshu responded to a user query by saying, "We have transitioned 5 series." So no C40". This indicates that the company intends to launch the POCO C50 in the Indian market, and the IMEI database listing confirms this.

In terms of specifications, little is known about the POCO C50 as of yet. Separately, POCO is preparing to launch the POCO M5 4G, a smartphone powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, in the Indian market.
