Realme Makes Another Mistake, This Time Using Recorded Video for Gaming Performance Demonstration at Narzo 50 India Launch
Realme Narzo 50

Realme, yesterday launched the Narzo 50 in India. The device, which includes a Mediatek Helio G96 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery, is primarily aimed at young people who want to play games. Realme showcased a gaming performance during the launch event in which players played Free Fire to demonstrate its gaming prowess. Realme, on the other hand, did not farewell.

After closely inspecting the video, it was determined that Realme was using a pre-recorded video of the gameplay and that it was not a live match. This error was discovered by RMLeaks, who was the first to report it. Here's a rundown of what happened at the Realme Narzo 50 launch event.

Realme Used a Pre-recorded Video for Narzo 50 Gameplay

We recommend that you watch the above video and skip to the 10:16 mark to get a better idea. During the live broadcast, two players appear to be competing in a Free Fire match until one of them taps on the screen as if to shoot, bringing up the video player navigation bar. This is the Realme gallery app, and the UI appears in a similar manner once the video begins to play.

Furthermore, Free Fire was banned in India on February 15, 2022, after which the game was removed from the Play Store, and Realme added a disclaimer in the video that clarifies that the event was pre-recorded, but they claimed to play a game during the recording of the event, which also turns out to be a pre-recorded gameplay on the smartphones.

It's unclear whether Realme used footage from a Narzo 50 or another phone.

However, this is not the first time Realme has messed up during a launch event. During the Realme Narzo 30A launch in Bangladesh, the company was caught red-handed using an iPhone to showcase the gaming performance of the Narzo 30A. Realme later clarified that the producer had broadcast the incorrect video.
