In India, Vivo has quietly launched a new Y-series smartphone. The Vivo Y16 is the company's new low-cost smartphone. The Y16 is a 4G device that costs less than Rs 15,000 in India. The phone features a flat frame design and a rectangular camera module.

Vivo Y16 4G India Price and Specifications 

The Vivo Y16 4G is yet another budget smartphone in the company's Y-series from India. The sole 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 12,499 (via). It has 64GB of internal storage. Vivo has released the phone in two colours: gold and black.

The Y16 was released in Hong Kong last month. The phone has a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. The front camera is housed in a waterdrop notch at the top. Vivo has introduced a phone with a 5MP front-facing camera.

A dual-camera setup is located on the back. The camera sensors are housed in two large cutouts on the phone. A 13MP main camera sensor and a 2MP depth sensor are included. Inside the camera module is the LED flash.

The Y16 is powered by a fairly old MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. The chipset comes with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. A microSD card can be used for storage expansion. Additionally, the device supports 1GB of Extended RAM.
