Google Pixel Foldable Smartphone Display Specifications Leaked
Let's take a look at the Google Pixel foldable smartphone specifications, features, and other details that have been leaked.
Google is said to be developing a Pixel foldable smartphone. Initially, the company planned to release the foldable phone in the United States and other markets late last year. While this obviously did not happen, reports suggested that the foldable Google smartphone would be released in the second half of this year. Some details about the upcoming Pixel foldable have also leaked. The most recent one comes from display analyst Ross Young, who revealed the foldable phone's screen size.
According to Young, the Google foldable phone will have a smaller cover display than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which has a 6.19" outer screen. However, both devices' foldable displays will be the same size. Let's take a look at the Google Pixel foldable smartphone specifications, features, and other details that have been leaked.
Z Fold 4 and Google foldable will have similar sized foldable displays, but the Google cover display will be quite a bit smaller at 5.8". This should mean it will have a wider aspect ratio than the Samsung 6.19" Fold 4. Hear more at our conference next week.— Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) May 2, 2022
Google Pixel Foldable Smartphone Display Specifications
The Google Pixel Foldable smartphone could be released this year. The foldable phone is expected to be released by the end of 2022, according to rumours. Google has yet to confirm any details about the foldable phone. While we wait, some display specifications have leaked online.
According to Young, the Google foldable phone will have the same foldable display size as the Z Fold 4. This implies that the Pixel foldable phone may have an 8-inch foldable screen. Young also stated that the Google foldable's outer screen will be much smaller at 5.8-inch, as opposed to the Z Fold 4's outer display of 6.19-inch. According to Young, the Google foldable will have a larger aspect ratio than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. Notably, the Pixel has the same outer screen size as the Oppo Find N.
Other Pixel foldable details have previously been leaked. It is said to have a dual-camera setup on the back. The primary camera will be a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 and the ultrawide camera will be a 12MP IMX386. The foldable phone will have two 8MP sensors for selfies and video calls, one on the foldable screen and the other on the outer display.
The Google foldable, like the new Pixel phones, will include the company's custom-developed Tensor series chip. However, it is unknown whether it will use the same chipset as the Pixel 6 series. More information should become available as the launch date approaches.
